INGREDIENTS

1 lb extra-lean ground turkey (99% lean/1% fat)

8 oz portabella mushrooms, minced

1/4 cup quick oats

2 tbsp liquid egg whites (or 1 large egg white)

2 tsp ground sage

3/4 tsp dried thyme

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/8 tsp celery seed

1/2 tsp salt

1/8 tsp ground black pepper

1 second spray PAM Original Cooking Spray

DIRECTIONS

Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, ground mushrooms, oats, egg white, sage, thyme, cayenne (if using), garlic powder, celery seed, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until evenly combined.

Form patties: Shape mixture into 12 evenly sized patties.

Cook patties: Spray a nonstick pan with a 1-second spray of PAM Original and heat on medium to medium-high. Place patties in pan. Cook until patties are browned on one side, then flip.

Finish cooking and serve: Continue cooking until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Serve 2 patties per serving hot.

TIPS

For easier flipping, let patties cook without moving them for the first few min; this helps them hold together better.
